The beach at my village is covered in wild flowers at this time of year, truly sumptous!! Below are a couple of snaps I took this afternoon to give you an idea of what its like.
And another Spring painting, again after a walk by the sea. Its oil on canvas and measures 16″ x 12″.
This image is oil on canvas and is evoked by a walk at the beach. That day the sun was kind enough to poke through, after what has been the gloom of this month. It has really been April showers, though definitely more showers than anything else and plenty of grey, grey, grey!
The image below is of a cliff fall, we had in my village a couple of weeks ago, bringing down a hundred tons of chalk. There was another cliff fall a week later, in the next village along. Luckily, no-one was underneath either one at the time!!
It was wonderful to wake up to heavy snow this morning – such a treat! I took these photos, on a sumptous walk which luckily ended up in a nice cosy pub on the beach. As you can see the white cliffs are looking very white indeed in the snow!!
Warm September Sea (oil on canvas 24 x 30 inches)
I am completely new to blogging, I mean I’ve heard the word but never really
understood what it meant!!! So here it is – my first ever blog.
This is one of my latest paintings, it is done from memory after a beautiful September
walk by the sea.
